Lake Batiste Cottage Portrait

How cool would it be to wake up at the cottage to this view every moring. We love rephotographing families, we had the pleasure of meeting a past clients entire family at their cottage. It is usually apparent the quality times families spend at their retreats. This beautiful getaway on Lake Batiste near Bancroft was the latest example of tranquility. We had first worked with Karen and her family a few years ago, we had family members from as far as Calgary so how nice it is to have this wonderful keepsake for future generations.

Seven Hills Farms

I first photographed these boys about 12 years ago when we were still on Broadway in Orangeville. The Overgaauw family are very hard working at their dairy  farm with over 170 cattle where everyone pitches in, you can see the close bond and fun this family has together. Despite being a modern, state of the art farm, I managed to find some cool spots and relaxing ideas. It was fun spending almost 2 hours capturing a new memory for this beautiful family. Best wishes and hope you have a wonderful trip to Holland.

Family book

We photographed Maria and Scott’s wedding  many years ago now, then their first born, Roman and what a cutie he is. Recently we documented Lorenzo’s first session and thought it would be nice to show a short story beginning with their wedding, first child to present. Here is a small excerpt from the new book.

Oakville, Rattlesnake Point wedding

We had a beautiful day to capture Yvette and Elroy’s wedding story. They both appeared quite relaxed and everything went smoothly. Photographing mostly at The Rattlesnake Golf Club in Oakville, we managed to dodge the incoming clouds just in time. Congratulations and best wishes.

Moose on the loose

In mid May two photo colleagues (Brad and David) and I decided to take the scenic route to our National convention in Mont Tremblant, on their way to pick me up at my north office they encountered a cub bear, and a fawn. Shortly after entering Algonquin Park, we noticed moose, we started keeping our eyes open for wild life and came across this poser of a moose. He was not far from another bull which was much more timid. This guys seemed to love people and the camera.

Finalist for Portrait Photographer of the Year

With much excitement I have to brag a little, knowing how competitive and difficult it is to actually be awarded the coveted Portrait Photographer of the Year award. I am very proud to have received and won the Photographic Artist of the Year for Ontario last year and understanding its rarity I was absolutely surprised and thrilled to have come in as a finalist for this prestigious title this past weekend. Below are the images that finalized for Ontario Photographer of the Year 2010.
