Oakville, Rattlesnake Point wedding

We had a beautiful day to capture Yvette and Elroy’s wedding story. They both appeared quite relaxed and everything went smoothly. Photographing mostly at The Rattlesnake Golf Club in Oakville, we managed to dodge the incoming clouds just in time. Congratulations and best wishes.

Moose on the loose

In mid May two photo colleagues (Brad and David) and I decided to take the scenic route to our National convention in Mont Tremblant, on their way to pick me up at my north office they encountered a cub bear, and a fawn. Shortly after entering Algonquin Park, we noticed moose, we started keeping our eyes open for wild life and came across this poser of a moose. He was not far from another bull which was much more timid. This guys seemed to love people and the camera.

Finalist for Portrait Photographer of the Year

With much excitement I have to brag a little, knowing how competitive and difficult it is to actually be awarded the coveted Portrait Photographer of the Year award. I am very proud to have received and won the Photographic Artist of the Year for Ontario last year and understanding its rarity I was absolutely surprised and thrilled to have come in as a finalist for this prestigious title this past weekend. Below are the images that finalized for Ontario Photographer of the Year 2010.

Growing family

Meet James, my newest cousin and new brother to Alissa and Nadia. We photographed each sister when they were just months old. James was just great, seamed to really like the camera, well his sisters really helped. Working with children is fun and unpredictable, you never really know what you are going to get. view gallerycreative children photography

Horse’n around in Dufferin County

I stumbled by this images of Justyna and Jason Thomson taken over a year ago. It was an award winning image for us. Thought I would post this since I had a great time and love working with horses…and of course their people too.equestrian photography

Haliburton Wedding-Algonquin Highlands region.

They had been calling for rain and stormy weather all week and apparently it rained all day in the Big Smoke according to colleagues.

Lindsey and Colin had a beautiful day, the rain held off and they had their dream come true of an outdoor wedding at the Matabanick Inn on Boskung Lake in north Haliburton. They were both born and raised here so this was very important to them. their bridal party not only looked beautiful but were all so nice and helpful and very close to them, a great bunch of friends. The day went smooth and on schedule, we had an old 47 Dodge to drive them to the Sandy Lane resort where their reception was held. This was a treat for us as everything including Sandy Lane resort on Little Hawk Lake road is all within 5 minutes of our North studio. The banquet hall at Sandy Lane was beautifully decorated and looked amazing. Congratulations Lindsey, Colin and Colby, Cottage country weddingThanks for the chance to capture your weding day memories, it was a pleasure meeting your families and friends.

Caledon Country Club wedding

It has been an absolute delight getting to know Tiffany and Chris. I knew while taking their engagement portrait that they were going to be fun. I had a great day with them, it was just a beautiful day, their wedding party were all so cool and helpful. They got married outdoors at the Caledon Country Club under a gorgeous setting. The hardest part of the day was fighting the strong sun, hard  problem to have I know! Thanks Tiffany and Chris for the opportunity to capture your wedding day story. Looking forward to seeing you soon. View their wedding here…Tiffany & Chris

Orangeville Family Portrait

How great it is to have the chance to capture a true 4 generational family heirloom! Here we had the opportunity to work with the Smith Family. The closeness and love for one another was very apparent….and allowed us to get this shot that I believe truly explains who they are. We had a gorgeous location to work with and a beautiful day. The hardest part was choosing which setting to work with. Thanks again for the chance to capture your family in a natural and fun way.

Haliburton Family Portrait

We have been participating in the Haliburton Home Show for two consecutive years now. We have recently photographed a few portraits sessions as a result of the show. It was a gorgeous day in Haliburton. We had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful young family with some super little people. We first warmed up by creating some images in a more traditional style, and slowly worked into a more natural, fun and interactive look.We spent almost 2 hours at their cottage on  Grass Lake and had a great time getting to know the families, then we worked with the individual young families until the kids were done. They did so well and hopefully for moms and dads they went for a nap. Gorgeous view and great location. Thank you for the opportunity to capture your family.

Little Baby Logan

How wonderful it is to see little ones grow. We first captured his parents wedding, then maternity, then Logan’s new born and 3 month photos, now at 6 months his personality is really shining. What a cutie! Thanks for the experience.
